The National Council of Jewish Women presents simple year-end tax strategies to maximize charitable gifts and decrease taxes. Whether someone writes a modest personal check to a nonprofit or has a charitable giving plan that includes a donor-advised fund or direct payments from an IRA, are they making the most of their generosity?
Would one like to have a greater impact on the organizations about whom they are passionate?
The NCJW asks those interested to join them on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 9:30 a.m. in the Donner Room at the Event Center for a conversation with Katharine Earhart, partner and investment advisor with Fairlight Advisors, and family attorney Emily M. De Falla of the Law & Mediation Offices of Emily M. De Falla, both of whom have extensive backgrounds supporting nonprofit organizations and their donors.
Items to be discussed will be gifts of appreciated assets, charitable rollover distributions and donor-advised funds.
All Rossmoor residents are welcome. To ensure adequate refreshments, those wishing to attend should send an email to rsvpncjw@gmail.com with their name and number of attendees. Or they can RSVP to 1-510-604-2012 and leave a message.
